Apple Watch SE Review | BLOGMAS No. 10

Hi guys we have another review since my post from last night did so well! Now I will start off by saying that I never wanted nor anticipated purchasing an Apple Watch. I will give you a brief history as to what my watches before have been like as my review will be my opinion.

In the past I have always had analog watches usually gifted to me during Christmas and not every year, but every few years as my style evolved. My favorite watch to this day was given to my by my Mom during college and it was a gold Dolce & Gabbana link style watch. I'll include a photo if I can find one! It was when wearing a lot of bracelets was a fashion statement. From there I became a lot more subtle and started using Daniel Wellington gifting one to my boyfriend now husband too! My most recent watch was a hybrid from Fossil from my husband and although it was nice to have the connection and step count it was never my dream to have a smart watch. I loved the simplicity but stealthness of the Fossil watch. However, it was extremely unreliable with its connectivity and the battery died every two months even though I did not use it more than at work and then would remove it once I got home. This watch caused me a lot of heartache as it would just stop functioning on its own accord and the Fossil app would never work with it. Once my work opened back up I took on a promotion and in doing so I found myself not having the same cell phone access as I could have before. Being in constant meetings, and having tasks and objectives I found myself using my work phone more. Many days not even checking my phone until the end of the day as I was going home. I did end up missing texts or calls that were from family and I realized an Apple watch was looking like a great idea. Most of my colleagues had the Apple watch and swore by it. I went ahead and took the plunge and haven't looked back since!

Now the actual watch doesn't use battery but it is charged every few days or depending on how much you use it. It is a dock charge which I bought an adapter that allows the watch to be propped up I'll link the exact one down below. I prefer the charge since I use my watch for work I don't find it ever runs out of battery. The color I chose was the rose gold and a nude Velcro wrap handle. I quickly decided I did not like the Velcro and bought one on Amazon that was of jelly material and more sleek not catching on blazers or coats. Again I will link my exact jelly handle below. The size of the watch I would say is perfect, I opted for the smaller size as my wrist is pretty thin and did not want something that would stick  out too much. The watch doesn't stick out from wrist too much I have only knocked it against a glass once since I had miscalculated how bulky it was s but there were no visible scratches on my watch. It is not heavy in comparison to analog watches. The watch I have no complaints about, it is weird to get used to the interface. You are able to customize just about everything even though it is not as straight forward as you might think since it is connected to the app on you iPhone. I do not know  if Android users are able to connect to their phone, you'll have look that up. I do know that there are other alternatives for android users in terms of watches.

The Airpods, iPhone, and Apple watch connect marvelously, as you would expect. The watch has helped me keep in touch with my personal life and keep track of my calories and steps to a much higher accuracy. If you are on the fence of making the splurge I would say it is 100% worth it. I am able to communicate with colleagues in moments and family as well if it is of urgency I am kept in the loop and have no surprises at the end of the day.
